Fitness Professionals--is Post Workout Soreness Good or Bad?

Hello!

I'm wondering what your thoughts are on post-workout soreness?

I'd say I'm in pretty good shape already but took a new fitness class yesterday that kicked my behind! I could feel the soreness almost immediately following the class! And, it woke me up in the middle of the night. Today almost my whole body is really sore.

Is this a good thing & it's waking my muscles up? I don't feel injured or anything just REALLY sore!

Also, should I take a couple of day off from working out or is it better to keep working out?
