Low Back Pain...

Arthritis of the lower spine. I had a bone scan which showed severe arthritis of the spine causing severe lower back pain. I am taking pain medication and the doctor recommended water therapy and suggested I lose 25 pounds.

Does anyone have arthritis of the spine and what do you do for the pain? When the weather is very cold the pain is worse. I've been using a heating pad which gives some help with the pain. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.
