Hi, Portugal is a beautiful country to visit. I am from there and go just about every year for a few weeks. I am from Lisbon but spend most of my time in North Portugal. The north is beautiful, but if you prefer beaches definitely go to Algarve, although not past June because it becomes to touristic and expensive. Do a search and visit what interests you. You wont be disappointed.
