Red Cardinal on Mantle for H-202959

I was watching the presentation of Home Reflections H-202959 (mercury glass candle lamp). On the mantle behind Amy is a gorgeous red bird which looked like mercury glass. It is at time marker 3:36 and 6:08. After listening to Amy again, she said it was Plastic (arrrrgh!) Has anyone seen anything like this in mercury glass or in the "P" word? I guess if it were mixed in really well like it is done on the HR set, I would consider using it in plastic.

I watched the video - Albany said that just looking at the mercury glass candle lamps gave her chills. LOL. I guess that will sell a lot of 'em. And, is there anything that QVC won't give the "mercury glass" treatment? And they said the cardinal was plastic? Not good. Might as well shop at the dollar store.

Two years ago I purchased three cardinals, in different poses, sold separately, at Kohls. They are glass, but no light inside. One looks just like the one in the video. I paid about six dollars each, but got some off with one of their % off coupons. I use them with the gold mercury glass trees from Valerie. I have received many complements on the set.

Just watched the video twice and she said the cardinal was classic, not plastic. Sure is pretty from what I could see. Maybe they will be selling it soon.

That Cardinal really looked like glass to me. I'd buy it if it was reasonably priced. It looked really pretty.

If you like glass bird ornaments, look up the Merck Family's Old World Christmas website. They show 51 hanging bird ornaments and 71 birds with clip. I have some of them but not nearly as many as I'd like. They're high quality and prices range from $7 to $15.
