Pantone, the company that considers itself the authority on colors in consumer trends, announced in December that marsala was its pick for 2015's color of the year. Omigosh, now that I look at it more intently, I am horrified. I think I am seeing what you see. However, I do like the "marsala" part of the coloration of the dress.

Goldie, yep, used gauze or worse, lol. That is going to be a tricky color, and white ombre' into marsala isn't going to work. ${#emotions_dlg.devil2}$

That dress would have looked awesome in last year's Radiant Orchid but it's awful as-is. It would be pretty in a solid, or a solid with a contrasting lining - just not those colors! Wink

My first thought was blood red, and I guess I'm not that far off. I don't see this being a huge success.

I love the color and the dress; if only I was young enough to wear it.

I'm curious to see what all the t.v. shopping hosts will call ""marsala"". They called everything in the purple family ""radiant orchid"". These colors of the year seem open to very loose interpretations.
