~~ Question About Wearing Hats ~~

I am attending a funeral service today and it's pouring down rain. I don't really want the hassle of an umbrella, so was thinking of wearing a black woven hat. Is it okay for a woman to keep a hat on inside?

Yes, hats that are part of the fashion you are wearing can be worn inside. I really don't have a problem with a man wearing a hat inside as long as it isn't some real tall cowboy hat that would block my view behind him. As long as your hat is tasteful and worn conservatively, I think it would be appropriate to wear (especially considering the weather).

Yes, women can wear hats indoors including places of worship.

It wasn't that long ago that a hat/head covering in a church was almost a requirement. Here I am wearing one of my favorites to a niece's wedding. I'd feel free to wear it outdoors to a funeral too.
