Cement Block Boots: Are they the new style?

What. The. Hellz? Are cement blocks in style? Or Frankenstein Boots? A host had these in today with Dennis Basso...and had to personally demonstrate his 'boot topper'. Oh. My.

I 'get' when gals want the optical illusion of heavy bottom/thin top...I rode the Leg Warmer Train back in the 80's...but these boots are so heavy & clunky...why? She has a model figure to begin with...why mess it up? Help me understand.

Bad look...really, really bad.

Perhaps it's the height without the heel, as in stiletto. ${#emotions_dlg.unsure}$

They're hideous. Frankenstein shoes. I've seen Shawn and Lisa wearing these. I don't know who is in the pic above, but lay-dees, just because it's "in style" does not mean it looks good.

Wow - I just watched the Basso video and you are so right.......Albany, the red-headed host, who usually looks great and sexy in anything, actually looks horrible in these ugly platform wedge boots.......they are by far the ugliest shoe I have ever seen.........and they've got to be heavy.......so unflattering, even on Albany, who is tall and thin with long legs who would look amazing in a burlap sack.......ugly shoe!!!! Lisa Robertson wears some, but a modified version but hers are ugly also......but Albany's, UGH ${#emotions_dlg.crying}$
