That would be my best guess. They are focused on things that are cheaper to manufacture: items that are sized in S, M, L instead of numerical sizes, items with stretch, and when they need to jazz it up, bring in a "celebrity" designer to bring new, high priced items and then they're never seen again.

I've noticed Q sometimes refers to a size as "average." I suppose that means Medium, but why do they call it average?
