If you were hired as a Q stylist...

what's the first change you would make across the board?

No false eyelashes and neutral color nail polish.

No high heels with Denim and Company jeans, capris.

Tone down the Isaac Mizrahi/SK layering and scarves in summer.

Show casual clothing as casual clothing, no dress it up/dress it down.

"No false eyelashes"? Have you seen people without false eyelashes on TV? You can't see their eyes. Perhaps good false eyelashes. TV poses lots of challenges, esp. high def!

Voice training... no joke... modulation, intonation and manners... as a stylist would I have any say about this, probably not. In general, "tone it down" -- that would go for outifts, make up , hair styles.

If a top is being presented, don't style it with a sweater, jacket or big scarf that will hide the details.

Just a good manicure, no homegrown jobs, no matter what the color, on a 50 inch screen it looks bad.

I didn't realize others were going to come on this thread and belittle what someone else said. My bad for thinking this was a fun, light-hearted thread. But leave it to you. Always a ray of sunshine! {#emotions_dlg.sneaky}

And yes there are a lot of people on tv and in HD without false eyelashes and many of them are right here on QVC. I doubt either of the Dans or Rick wear false eyelashes. Many of the vendors don't wear them and many of the hosts including Jill B. don't wear them.

HSN hosts aren't allowed to wear false eyelashes on air according to one of their hosts.

Geez.

I agree with you.

But I think it is styled the best of all the shopping nets right now.
