Request for plain cardigan sweaters!

Doesn't anyone make a plain front cardigan, with or without buttons??? I don't like all of the drapey, swirling fabric. It's trendy & I don't like trendy!

ITA.....something without glitter, stones, embroidery, or lots of ruffles or draping fabric is almost impossible to find. check out Talbots Charming Cardigans......they are very well made and don't need all the extra stuff since they are styled so well

I don't know if you like cable knit, but my favorite sweater is the Double L cotton sweater at LL Bean. It's a nice mid-weight 100% cotton sweater that I wear year-round. They don't have as many colors right now because of the holidays but they always have in stock and they're always adding new colors.

Linea has two versions of simple cardigan and Isaac has a few too (nice, and in cashmere).

Yes, of course. I bought two from Louis' s line and I know there are plenty of others, I want a bright blue one. I always shop Q' s website, practically never the tv programming which only offers limited selections.

Lands End usually has a selection of cardigans.

That's great buy Kittyloo. I love to find things like that. Unfortunately, the JCP closed in our mall.

Two words for you: Land's End. They have tons of classic cardis in various colors and fabrications. They're available elsewhere, too. You're may be having less success finding them if you're shopping just QVC.......

LOVE the Talbots "charming" cardigans. They're on sale right now for a terrific price. I bought 4 colors a few days ago.

That is a terrific price on the charming cardigan. I wish they had reviews of their products.

Denim & Co. has a new basic cardigan (A238361). However, there are no reviews yet.

LL Bean, Land's End, Eddie Bauer are all places where you can still find a classic moderately priced cardigan.

J Crew and Brooks Brothers are higher priced suggestions.

Charming Cardigan

I love Talbot's Charming Cardigans. They're on sale right now for $29.99. Many colors.

They also have a cashmere version of this cardigan; it's more expensive.

Another option is LL Bean's fine gauge cardigan ($49.99):

I've gotten some at Kohls or Christopher and Banks.

I bought this cardigan (same color) after Christmas. I think it's so pretty.

I was going to recommend Lands End as well. They always carry the classic cardigan in solid colors (as well as some fun prints, but it doesn't sound like that's what the OP is looking for). Right now the Women's Fine Gauge Supima Crew Cardigan is on sale for $29.99 in a bunch of colors (current colors are $49).

Gotta love Lands End for the basics {#emotions_dlg.thumbup}

Did you see the cardigan on Liz Clabourne's clothing, today? It had huge polka dots-like Minnie Mouse would wear!

Macy's has some great Karen Scott cardigans in lots of solid colors. They were $44 and now are about 75% off. They are light weight cotton and have buttons.

This too shall pass.

This is a store brand. Not impressive, but good for every day if that's what what you need.

I have MANY Karen Scott cotton tops and sweaters and I find it to be GREAT quality clothing. I have machine washed them many times and they keep their color and shape. I know that they are exclusive to Macy's. I am impressed, ESPECIALLY when I buy them for 75% to 80% off.

This too shall pass.
