How do you know what to buy at sites w/o reviews?

So many of you are really good w/ finding other sites to buy products and have helped me find alternative sites to buy products. One place I find quite intriguing is the six pm site. They have a LOT of products at what looks like great prices.

But how does one know the quality of the products if there are no reviews on these sites? For example, I saw some boots from Fidji...but I know nothing about this brand...like do the boots run true to size...small...is the leather nice and supple or stiff...etc. I'm just using that brand as an example...because there are a lot of brands and also other sites.

Just curious as to how you ladies that are more savy go about finding out more about products from sites w/o reviews.
