I'm watching Katie Couric. One of her guests works for police trying to eliminate fake handbags and related items. I learned that buying the fakes is not an innocent activity. These bags are often made by children in third world countries under appalling conditions. Worse is that in some cases purchases can actually support terrorist organizations. The website dontbuyfakes.com has more information. I also learned that if each of us just spent $64 on a made-in-America product this year we'd help create thousands of jobs. It's something to think about.
