New G.I.L.I. Leather Jacket item number if anyone wants.

Lisa has been wearing a leather jacket all week that I know many are interested in.

It won't be posted online until later today but she did put the link on her FB page.

Here is it.

Looks like another one that QVC may get a lot of returns on. Looks like it could be very tight in the bust area. Think this host should realize not every customer likes their jackets so snug like she wears. In the end it's all about the bottom line though...$$$. Initially moving as much merchandise out the door.

I don't think the pockets are flattering. I am large busted and pockets on top look really bad. I also think the pockets on the bottom might make the stomach area look larger.

Thanks gard! Cute, but too short for me, I don't like mandarin-style collars and I'm not into all those pockets. But, it's a nice jacket. My hunt for the perfect, updated moto-style jacket in a soft leather is still on....

Well a big thank you for posting. I have been checking out the fashion forums just to see if anyone had the 411. I like this jacket. It is not a boring same old same old jacket. Lots of details. Love the GILI line.

I know this is nit-picking because overall its a nice looking garment, but I think the little pocket on the sleeve is a design mistake.

darn it Sunshine--I can picture her, but I can't remember her name--tall, dark haired girl , slender- that wasn't Suzanne. I don't see her quite as often as I see Angela, Kate or Suzanne.

Those flimsy-looking gold buttons ... the pockets ... hmmm, I'll take a pass.

Great style. The Facebook photo is much darker than the online photos of the brown, though. Ilike all the seams for closer fit and the cuffed sleeves. The epaulets aren't humped up, either. I wonder about the quality of the leather.

The gold buttons jumped out at me immediately.

Overall I think the entire coat looks cheap.

I don't care for the gold buttons either.

This jacket looks like such a knock-off of my Bradley by Bradley Bayou jacket from two or three years ago. Same: collar, cuffs, left sleeve pocket, hip pockets, button front, shoulder epaulettes, seaming detail front and back . Of course, the real designer did it better: no big chest pockets with flaps and done in buttery lamb leather. The original: A96453.

I agree.

But, this looks cheap. I normally like gold buttons, but these gold buttons are atrocious and scream cheep. I'm not impressed with it at all.

Do you think Bradley's was an original design or did he get inspiration from a higher-end designer?

Bradley Bayou is a "higher end" designer known for his leather and suede pieces who did a line for QVC.

Yes I know he's a high end designer who did a line for QVC. But even some high end designers get inspiration from higher-end designers. I wonder what BB is doing these days? His website hasn't been updated in over a year it appears and still advertises that he's on QVC.

Maybe Lisa did knock-off his jacket because it had such great reviews?

Or maybe because she owns A96453. She GILI, after all.

It's a knockoff of a Tory Burch jacket. I have several of them, and for me anyway, they are flattering. The other jacket she is selling, the ruffled one, is a knockoff of a BCBG from several years ago. I had that one as well, but sadly is too small for me now. I think the skirt that she will be starting the show with is an Elie Tahari one from last season. I suspect that I have many of the same clothes as Lisa, as we are both "curvy", though I am a bit more curvy..LOL.

I Googled and sure enough, there it is by Tory Burch. So much for the BB jacket. LOL The ruffled one I recognize.

Do you by any chance know who did the original of the plaid jacket that she showed last week? Thanks

Hi, Lipstick Diva. You know, that one I did not recognize. I suspect that it may be Ralph Lauren, but I don't know for sure. It looks cute, but I'm just not a plaid person at all. I'm trying to think of some of the others that she has done, but you guys may already know. There was a recent blouse she did with a V-neck, and I recognized that one as DVF (yes, I have two of them..they fit well and are made of the stretch silky fabric and so they fit well on curvy women.) That blouse is not getting good reviews, I see. Actually, I am a little surprised that QVC can get away with some of these. I know that there was a store in my area that was selling knock-off TB purses, and I think they might have gotten a letter about it.

If I see that plaid jacket online, I will let you know. There, I guess, is an outside chance it might be Burberry. Kinda looks like their style. I don't wear that brand at all, so I am not sure.

Sgt Pepper by Tory Burch ... think how much better the G.I.L.I. jacket would be with buttons like these.

Ya know the buttons really make all the difference. Those buttons really cheapen that GILI jacket.
