WHAT IS G.I.L.I.?

I'm not a Lisa Robinson fanatic, but I gather she "designs" these items - what do the initials GILI stand for?

The intent is good. I'm in the younger age group and I think some items are nice- but the reviews online are not good for the most part.

It's Lisa cashing in on her own line bringing to her audience polyester versions of her personal wardrobe. I personally feel its hideous. I would rather spend my money on the high clothing that I buy (often when they have a great sale) at Neiman Marcus, lord & Taylor and Nordstrom.

Got it loathe it. And I bet Lisa is no designer. But again everyone is now a designer

Lisa doesn't design the clothing. I don't know why anyone would be the least bit interested in what is in Lisa's closet. Her clothing is boring (jeans that are too long, tight fitting black tops and an occasional dress) & far too tight.

Stylish women play/experiment w/ fashion, and classy women DO NOT refer to anything as looking like "money", or "country club"- She sounds like a wannabe!

I never understood her wanting to dress in a way to make people think she's someone she isn't. It doesn't make sense to me. What's wrong with the person she is? I don't want to dress like she claims we should. The people I'm around know who I am, so why should I wear a "costume" to make them think I'm someone I'm not?

It doesn't mean I don't like to look nice, whether I'm at the grocery store or my son's lacrosse game, but I don't try to make people think I have "old money." People who know me know I don't, and I don't care what people who don't know me think of me. Does this make sense?

I think she has some nice pieces in her wardrobe and if you've ever visited her very active FB page, you'll see many, many people requesting versions of her clothes.

Personally, I'd rather save up and buy the original if I like something she wore, rather than a cheap knock-off.

I've not had great luck with GILI. The fabrics aren't nice, and the sizing is often way off from other QVC measurements.

I ordered her new long t-shirt and am hoping it's a winner.

I purchased my first G.I.L.I. item last week. It was a coral, sleeveless dress, item A231946. It did not work for my body type (I'm about 20 pounds overweight); however, I must mention that the quality of the item is exceptional. The dress was in the typical QVC plastic bag when shipped and when I took it out, there was not a single wrinkle. The dress was lined, and done so beautifully. I could go on and on about the quality of the dress. If all the G.I.L.I. items are made as well, this is definitely a great line of clothes to consider at an affordable price.

I do want to mention that for the G.I.L.I. dress I purchased, the fit was perfect; however I did have to order 1 size larger (a Large rather than a Medium) than my regular QVC size. I looked at the size chart before ordering and could see it was running small. Item A231946

I don't know what GILI is but I do know cattiness when I see it! It's terrible that you women have tried to tear down Lisa as you have. You should be ashamed. Rather than tearing others down to feel better about yourselves, try working on your self-esteem.

Jealous much?

Geesh, it;s her sales pitch! Not my fave either but she is a SALES WOMAN and obviously

a lot of women -aside from the few who comment here- are responding. For that matter I cannot stand Shawn and Isaac with their 'like' 'ya' know' every 30 seconds but who cares?

Bottom line, Q rakes in Mills!

She has a really wide black cumber-bun belt with braid I would take in a heartbeat! Apparently everyone would too with the calls it generated.

I have to admit that Lisa is charismatic and if I hear her voice I immediately pause on the channel. She's a heck of a saleswoman, and I really like the GILI notched collar jacket that she pitched a few months ago. That was my only GILI purchase. I have three of them in navy, taupe and grey, and even though I haven't gotten to wear them much yet, they are a very nice finishing touch to whatever else you may be wearing. I just saw one of the models wearing the navy one in the TSV sandal presentation. I can't grouse about Lisa or GILI, and will definitely be keeping an eye on it.

Hey guys, to each his own... I like Lisa, enjoy watching her and also have purchased some of the GILI items and loved them. Some have not worked for me but that is just me and my body shape. I like that she has some more designer type looks for less money, particularly the blouses she has shown recently. She is fun to watch and gorgeous! I enjoy watching TheWink Lisa Robinson show! Yay Lisa!

Thank you for posting your experiences. I've been very tempted to buy that dress! I usually buy medium from QVC, so I guess I would need to size up. I've also thought about ordering the GILI lace dress.

Interesting that you would resurrect this post from almost 3 months ago and that it's your first post-hmmmmm....

I have her maxi dress with bandeau and really love it, well made and nice quality fabric.

I thought the OP wanted to know what G.I.L.I. stood for.

I don't think the GILI line is that bad. There are good and bad things, but overall, it seems like a decent line of clothing. Not really my style, I'm a JJill/Eileen Fisher type of gal..but I give Lisa credit for trying to redesign some of her own items for Q customers. Good for her.

I have to admit, I received a G.I.L.I bag as a gift and really love it! I've never tried the clothes, but the handbags are very nice quality and styling!
