I just received them in the pink plaid and I like them but are they for anyone or do you need to have foot problems to wear them? I know you are supposed to have a break in period, but they seem to hurt my feet. Do they get better or should I send them back?

I love these slippers. I think they are the ugliest slippers I have ever seen but for me the comfort is there. I have heel spurs & plantar fasciatus. They have a very hard foot-bed & a high arch which is what I need. For me they were very comfortable from day one!

You will get used to them. I have fallen arches and found Orthaheel a few years ago, before it came to the Q. I love the flip flops. I wish they'd design more stylish shoes.

Initially Orthaheel felt odd to me. I was SO aware of the arch support. But the longer I wore them, I found I became less aware of the arch, to where now I don't even think about it. I'm 57 and I noticed that I was slowly losing my arch...causing my foot to roll in. If your foot rolls out (supinate), then these are not a slipper/shoe you would find comfortable, I would think. If after a couple of days the slipper never becomes comfortable...then they're not for you. Not everything is for everyone. For me, I'm lucky they work the way they were intended. Good luck to you.

I received them yesterday and this is my first Orthaheel so I wasn't sure what to expect. The arch support is very obvious and would probably take a little getting used to. But I have more of an issue with the sizing. I normally wear a size 6 so that's what I ordered. They seem huge to me and really too wide. I can hardly keep them on my feet even tightening the strap as much as possible. I don't think I can go down to a size 5. (I always wonder about telling 1/2 size people to size down. How can you size down if you already wear a whole size?). To all the experienced orthaheel wearers, do you think these shoes are just not for me?

I got my slippers today and am very pleased. I was a bit concerned about the fit because my foot in on the narrow side of a B width. They looked very wide on TV. A little adjustment to the Velcro and they were perfect. Very warm too.

Oops! Did I roll my eyes out loud?
