Does anyone still wear black tights...

with knee length black skirt and black flats? I just got some cute new black flats and can't stand to wear shoes without some sort of sock/stocking. Are pantyhose are still out of date? I usually wear pants, but sometimes I just want something different.

I also cannot stand to wear shoes without something. I wear black tights with above knee black skirt and tall boots. I will also wear panty hose occasionally rather then go barefooted in shoes.

Black tights are always in during fall/winter. In fact, hosiery in general (including pantyhose) is undergoing a great revival. Thank goodness! I am SO sick of seeing women running around in dress shoes with pale, bare, goose-bumpy legs. Unattractive. Cold. And DUMB. Bring on the hosiery!

Yes, I wear black tights often with knee length skirts and flats or boots this time of year.

I wore black opaque tights with a black skirt and red jacket today and will wear them often this winter.

They're back. Saw them all over London on the young people. Sometimes with short shorts - not a good look, but nice with a skirt or dress.

I'm with you! I can't stand the feel of my bare feet in shoes. Burr in the winter... sweaty in the summer! Glad to hear that hoisery is coming back!

I wear a sweater, skirts, and tights, and flats a lot in the winter. Sometimes I wear boots with the skirt and tights. After Easter, when my legs begin to tan, I show my bare legs with skirts and shoes.

I wear either black tights, gray tights, or nude hosiery with skirts and dresses during the cooler months. I live in the Northeast and feel weird going around with bare legs when it's 40 degrees out.

I wear black alot. Also deep burgundy, navy, grey... I have a pair of nude colored tights to wear with winter skirts when it's very cold and my outfit doesn't look right with the other colors. Textured tights are cute too.

My legs don't tan, they never have, so I use fake tan on them in the warmer months just to give them a little color- or it looks like I'm wearing light color pantyhose!

Wear tights. I don't wear them but I am in pants or jeans all the time. I wear a black stretch sock that are close to tights but not as thick with shoes. I love tights with pencil skirts or pleated skirts. It's a really cute look.

i love tights! i wear the black, have to be a certain black, i buy norstroms own brand, they are the best. i also love the different colors and pattern ones too, they have some really great looking ones out this year. they are great with jeans and slacks, in the winter, keep you warm. i do not like the black ones, that are almost see through, yuck!

I wear black footless tights every day thru the cold weather under my pants - never leave home without them!

It is my favorite look. Knee length skirt- black tights and a little bit longer top. In the 90s there was a whole group of mix and match- skirts and tops- does anyone remember- I think it was at the Limited- LOVED that whole group- could mix and match and wear to work- I think there were pants too- I wish someone would bring those back again- they almost had a boucle feel to them - didn't cling at all. Oh those were the days....

ITA with Goodstuff above -- why look silly and freeze half to death when a nice pair of opaque tights (or even leggings) looks good and keeps you comfy? ----- I'm short but 'not' teensy widthwise, so I tend to match skirt/tights/shoe color for a straight unbroken line. Most often the color 'line' is either black or very dark brown. All it is, really, is a 'substitute look' for pants, you know. ---- Perk it up by pattern, texture, or color up toward or around the face -- in jacket/blazer, top, or bag... or a great scarf or jewelry. ----- Works just as well with either a dressy or a business skirt-suit as it does with separates (since I retired I just happen to prefer separates).

{#emotions_dlg.biggrin} Love black tights.... I would wear the outfit you mentioned O/P classic and timeless.. Except for the flats... I am short so I need the height from a heel or a boot. Happy Holiday! {#emotions_dlg.thumbup}

Love black tights any time I wear a skirt in Winter. Will never be without them. I think they look great. Don't want to criticize but I hate the bare leg look at any time of the year. Have rarely seen anyone whose bare legs look good.

Sure thing. I wear them this time of year. I say wear what you want to wear. There are no rules, and if there are any, I say break them!
