DG2 Shaping Bootcut Pants- ?

Started 1354244553.153 in Fashion Talk | Last reply 1355417436.667 by catmama

Did anyone get these and what do you think? I'm on the fence- they are comfortable but a little strange with all that elastic around the waist. they are flattering in the leg but I would really have to wear some sort of tunic or at least have the shirt out. The colors really aren't what they say- i got a purple, which looked like purple, but really like blue. Just wondering what people think

thanks

I got the black the last time they were on - before this last TS. I absolutely LOVE them. I wear a tunic over them and they look great. They are the most comfy things I own right now. I ordered more when I saw they were the TS.

The seam down the legs stopped me from purchasing, plus my last orders for DG2 haven't been fitting like my previous purchases do. I like the elastic waists because it eliminates the bulk in the front. My favorites pull-ons are my NYDJ's. I tried to find them this year and couldn't. Glad I bought 3 pairs last winter.

I actually like the front seam- has a more slenderizing effect, but the amount of elastic is sort of strange, now saying that I love elastic as I really don't have a waist. Doesn't matter whether I'm a 8 or 16. I'll have to wear them for awhile and see.

I wasn't sure about that seam, but it is VERY flattering! I love everything about these.

I actually was afraid of ordering them so I passed. I had no idea what size to order. I bought several of her tops and needed to size down, another chart of measurements posted over there that doesn't mean a darn thing...sound familiar?

I was also afraid to order them also, never ordered anything from her before but decided to take a chance. Figured I could return them if I didn't like them so no loss to me. SO glad I did. I have 2 pair coming, and two waitlisted - 2 regulars for work that I'll wear with my ankle boots, 2 petites to wear with my flats.

i wore them all day today and they are very comfortable, but all that elastic kept slipping down and when I walked downstairs almost lost them. Think I'll return one pair and order down a size, then decide. Having the return options until 1/31/13 helps

I wasn't too sure about all the elastic either, but I have had them on this afternoon (espresso) and find they are very comfortable. They fit perfectly, too. I always wear my shirts out, so the elastic is no problem for me. Love these pants. Just wish they had a pocket or two. Smile

I felt the same way about the seam. When I noticed that, I decided against it.

Ditto on the seam. And the elastic. Less noticeable elastic, ditch the seam and I will love them.

I'm not sure I'm understanding why the elastic is such a problem. Unless you're tucking in a shirt no one will see it. I wore my black ones today, that seam is amazing. I swear things make me look like I've lost 15 lbs. They are soooooo comfy I can easily spend the entire day in them and be happy.

i never thought that there could ever be too much elastic but there is on this pant. Mine just keep slipping down, - I'll see what I think when I get the smaller size.

Recieved mine yesterday and I LOVE them. I got the denim and the espresso. I ordered my usual size and they fit perfect. I'm on waitlist for the gray.

I tried being patient but it took too long.

+1. Hated the seam. Looks like toddler pants. And I can't imagine it is comfortable at the back of your leg sitting on a seam.

I just tried mine on and love them. I never ordered from DG2 before. The black is very nice and you do not even notice the elastic. I am 5"10" so even though tall was ordered, they could be alittle longer. I usually am a size 12 and the sizing is true to size. I wish her tops were cheaper.

Could anyone post an item number please?

223-759 is the item number. The material is not stiff and the denim is soft. I did not even notice the seam down the leg. I take a size 12-14 Large. I am not a Twiggy but they look very nice.

I thought the elastic on them made them look like maternity pants. I didn't order them because her stuff doesn't work for me but if you don't tuck in, and I wouldn't on pants like these anyhow, the elastic shouldn't be a problem.

I just got a pair of the boot cuts in gray, and am very happy with the fit. While I have lots of DG2 jeans & all in size 10P, I have had no luck with her jeggings until these appeared. The ones with the thick, bunchy elastic and ultra-skinny legs do not fit me, and when I tried the new faux leather ones I went up a size, but the hips & tush were baggy, & the calves still too tight. Also the rise was short. I ordered the new pair in reg M, not petite, & that plus the wider leg did the trick. They are smooth & flattering, almost the way the leggings were from both channels years ago. Now I have my eye on the faux leather jeans!

You have to wash them first...then when I tried them on, they kept creeping down...and again, that elastic is strange...

Ordered three pr ...... I'm a Diane fan........but these are going back. I like the elastic....but don't like front and back seams and just the overall look.

Love Love Love them.

I went to a meeting the other night where I had to sit for 3 1/2 hours. Comfortable as can be and when I stood up, no bagging anywhere. Will definately buy more when she's on again. I think these are the best pants she has ever produced.
