Looking For Wool or Wool Blend Socks.

Started 1350482400.967 in Fashion Talk | Last reply 1350624717.993 by Spunkyspouts

I have poor circulation and cannot have anything binding around the top. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I ordered these http://www.qvc.com/3-Pair-Merino-Wool-Blend-Boot-Socks.product.A70001.html?sc=A70001-Zone&cm_scid=zone&cm_sp=MERCHZONE-_-Best+Sellers-_-1 but then I cancelled because when I clicked on the photo of "welt top" it seemed to be tight?

Thanking you in advance.

Have you tried diabetic socks? They are for people with poor circulation. You can get them at Wal-Mart or just about anywhere. I'm not sure why you want wool blend, unless it is because your feet are cold all the time. Check out diabeticsockshop(dot)com. They have wool blend.

My feet are always cold. The thickness of the ones in the link is what I need. The diabetic socks all seem much thinner.

Cabela's has wonderful wool socks - I buy them for my husband and myself. All sorts of different weights, and I don't find any of them binding at the top.

I've bought the cashmere blend socks here and I like them. They are very soft and warm but not tight at the top (I hate that too).

I feel like a recording but check out JJill socks. They last a long time.

Stardust2 I have ordered these socks for the past 4 years. First they went to my sons and then I started ordering for my daughter in laws. They are terrific! My sons work in the cold and they say they are the only boot sock that keeps their feet warm. I ordered these socks just so I can wear a pair around the house to keep my feet warm and that is why my DILs asked for them. (They took a pair from their husband's to wear). They are a thicker socks but oh so warm. Try a pair I really think they will do the job. Best of Luck.

I really can't wear wool socks, but I do have some that have a small cashmere content.

I have seen wool socks, very nice ones at Target! They are not very expensive. I was looking at sport socks recently and while looking at all the socks saw the wool ones. They come in all types of styles and seem to be very nicely made. They may meet your needs, check them out.

LLBean also has fleece socks. They are very soft and warm. I have a pair of these I wear to football games when I go and it's cold.

Ditto to what she said. Everybody in my family has them now or asks for them. I just ordered last week and am waiting on a new batch. I've tried the ones at Target, Academy, Bass Pro, and none of them are the quality and warmth of these. Not itchy one bit either. I wear them as slippers a lot of days because they are so comfy.

Don't be so arrogant and ignorant; English may not be her first language. You may not understand her - or someone else's - posts, but they are always nice and positive. Which is more than I can say for both of you right now.

And Reiss, I'm especially surprised at you, since you seem to have a good heart as well as natural empathy.

Hugs to you, Jasica.Smile

That goes for you too, Amphirite. Read my previous reply.

Another hug for you, Jasica.Smile I've heard that English is one of the hardest languages to learn, especially with the different dialects and slang. My mother and paternal grandparents emigrated here, by the way.;)

You are wrong yet again, animal lover, I feel so sorry for you. It must stink to be you and be wrong so often. Bless your foolish heart. Please do us all a favor and get some therapy for your anger issues.

I saw some really soft cushy grey merino wool socks at Sportsmen's Warehouse ( a big sporting goods store) this weekend. They were probably made for hunters or something, but anyone could wear them and they looked like they would keep your feet really warm. I've also purchased some microfiber plush socks at Target and Walmart that have kept my own feet very comfortably warm in cold weather. I seem to always have cold feet when I go to bed at night and often wear a pair of these at night in the winter. I sleep much better when my feet are warm!

Smartwool socks - I have gotten them from Zappos, Amazon, and Sierra Trading Post. They have thick ones and thin ones, lots of colors. Not inexpensive, they last a long time. I like them because they offer sizes, not one size fits all, I wear small.

Costco has some nice ladies socks in now that are 100% wool, they are nice colors too.
