Stan Herman CHENILLE!

Started 1349654940.353 in Fashion Talk | Last reply 1349896734.59 by willdob3

Please! Where are all the wonderful chenille robes? Synthetic fabrics encourage such a lot of static electricity especially during winter months. Just simple round neck, zip front, shoulder yoke for the little extra fullness where needed. Couldn't we have those back again please?

Gems, I agree. Would love to have more of his Chenille robes . The one I have now is getting thin ..... I hate to part with it because it's nice and long, goes to my ankles . I like mine that long because of the comfort and warmth. I too like one with a zipper ; you just step into it. I sure hope he'll bring us more like that. ; )

Same here! My robes are getting very thin also. I even have one long robe that has buttons instead of the zipper which I like to wear when I'm not feeling very well and don't want to have to step into something.

Come on, Stan - more chenille robes please!!!

Yes, I could use another robe. Zipper, please. I don't like tie robes or buttons. Stan will come through.

Google "cotton chenille robes". There is a company in Maine that makes them there - in the US! They look very cute and retro.

Love Stan's chenille robes. Lucky me, I have a beautiful pale orchid, zipper front one I ordered last year and haven't worn yet. Love Stan and Carol. I have some of Carol's on hand and unworn yet, too. Did Stan sell to Carol? I thought I heard or read that somewhere.

I stumbled on these doing a web search right here on QVC. Guess Stan is not the only source.

I just looked at one there and it was not 100% cotton, it was a cotton/poly blend. It was also the cheapest thing I saw on the page at $142{#emotions_dlg.ohmy}

I also saw on for $400. Double{#emotions_dlg.ohmy}{#emotions_dlg.ohmy}

That is a bit much for me, but some might not mind, I guess.

Yes, more affordable chenille robes. Plush velvet wouldn't be bad, either.

You and me BOTH.......chenille, zip front, 3/4 sleeves and BIG pockets. I actually found a couple of them (Stan Herman) at Ross for around $15. But it was a couple years ago.

And what exactly was the reason for offshoring all our manufacturing? To get things cheaper? Its not working. If I have to pay that kind of money I want my stuff made in the US.

Oh didn't Dennis have a bed jacket on recently?? tee hee -- truly he had some "faux fur" vest that looked like chenille -- have seen similar in stores and YES it is just as bad in person as on TV.

Also why do they say there are the only ones who combine cashmere with cotton, wool, silk etc they have been doing that for years?? I have an old T. Hillfinger fair isle and a cable and cage cardi silk & Cashmere now that is a great feeling and a light warm layer.

Speaking of layers why would anyone want just a half bra in winder -- ie., genie -- it's my midriff that gets cold -- found some great nylon tanks that do the trick at TJ's for 4.99

I asked Stan that on FB to please bring back chenille, I'd be happy to pay extra for them.

Made in the USA robes are readily available but they are in the $150+ range.

Thank you! I am going to get one for my mom as she loves cotton chenille and can't find them.

I have a blue zip chenille robe from Stan that is long and goes almost to the floor and I'm 5'7". I had it forever but it is thin in spots so I went to order another one about a year or so ago. Of course, it was discontinued. I looked all over for another one and I found a tan one just like it on the Bay so am a happy camper again. What's with all the robes going to just calf length? I want to be warm down to my feet!

While it's not chenille...here is a cotton robe made in USA that appears to get good reviews.
