I hope I ordered the right thing...Connecting Kindle Fire HD to my TV! Techies needed!

I decided I want to connect my Kindle Fire HD to my TV to watch Amazon Prime movies.

My big screen TV is one of the first TV's that is HD. I read that some TV's have a DVI port rather than an HD Port. Well, I looked and mine says DVI. The DVI on my tv has the holes, not the needles.

So from Amazon, I ordered a Male DVI adapter (had needles) that adapts to a female HDMI. Then I ordered a 15 ft. cord that has a male HDMI on one end and a male micro HDMI on the other to plug into my Kindle Fire HD

I had to do a lot of research to come up with this.

Did I do it right?
