Poor quality download from iTunes

Anybody ever experienced it? I recently downloaded a song and it's really fuzzy in the background--definitely not as clear as the other songs I've downloaded. I deleted it from my phone and downloaded it again, but it didn't help. The song is Roar by Katie Perry. Any suggestions to help it come in more clearly?

You may have selected a version that is a lower bit rate, like 128 kbps. Sometimes you can scroll through a list of all songs under a certain artist, and you'll find different versions, which some are higher bit rates of 256 kbps. The 256 bit rate is better quality than the 128 bit rate. Then there are other songs that are even lower bit rate. I think 256 bit rate is the highest they offer, which is HD quality.

256 isn't HD.. the highest quality an MP3 can go is 320. HD is 24/96khz and cannot be obtained in MP3.

Thanks for your replies! I didn't realize that I might need to look at bit rates when I download from iTunes. I can see other versions of this song, but none of them indicate the bit rate. Is there an easy way to find out the bit rates of iTunes songs?
