What is the free software that can take the place of Office?

TIA---BTW-- does neighbor wants to know if there will be another Dell TSV with intel processors before Christmas? He missed the last one. Told him AMD's aren't my choice- so he wants intel.

Are you thinking of Open Office, perhaps?

My opinion is there are much better deals on computers elsewhere, even compared to a TSV price. I only purchased one computer on QVC many, many years ago, and it was a disaster. Never again.

The computer being offered for Black Friday is a HP item # E226800.

If your neighbor wants a Dell, buy direct from the company.

Smiley Happy well, Mr Google often has wrong or unsafe suggestions. ( as I suppose this forum can as well- just that we try to keep it honest.

We both checked direct Dell- for what he wants- doesn't include dvd/cd burner- and they don't offer lifetime support. (btw- I got mine from walmart! no bells and whistles but suits my purpose for now till I see what I really want- $300- intel ie5- 4gb W/ 1 tb can up to 8gb ( but only one slot so for now- not worth it) I think they're offering it again for "black friday"--- its a real cheapy- all plastic casing (not like my old Dell still kicking) but it's faster than the grandpa so I use both for different tasks.

Open Office or Libre Office.

Thanks- what a rip-off office 365 is! ( so I'd go to openoffice.com or libreoffice.com or are they on another sponsor site?

I think it is openoffice.org.
