Need Kindle Advice

My original Kindle finally died on me and I am looking to buy a new one. It was one of the first models and never gave me any problems, so a Nook is not an option. I need help in knowing what features people like and don't like. There are so many more to choose from. I know I can go to Kindle's website, but wanted to start here. TIA!

I've had most of the models from #1; currently have HDX 8.9 4 g, love,love, love! Even like it for reading with tinted screen option.

For reading, I LOVE the newest paperwhite. For color, I have the 7" HDX and like it too--it has sound so works with Audible books as well.

I have two ... the latest is the Paperwhite. The first one was the Wi-Fi. All my reference books and fiction are on the Wi-Fi. Non-fiction on the Paperwhite.

I'm guessing you want an e ink kindle, since you have the original one. I have the first kindle too and replaced it with the paperwhite a couple months ago. I think it's a big improvement over the first kindle.

I also have a paperwhite and I love it! Additionally, I have a Kindle Fire HD 8'. I LOVE that also. The Fire is more versatile. I can read on it, search the web, get emails etc. Great products! Good Luck finding and deciding on your next Kindle! ${#emotions_dlg.thumbup}$
