I just bought mine 10-2012 & paid $729 plus tax for my 32GB Wi-Fi/3G iPad so No I would not trade it in for $250.

I have an iPad 4. The trade price at Apple is $200. I would not trade my iPad, and then buy another.

Yes! I think it is good to keep up while you can still get something for the old one. If you can afford it and want to do it. GO FOR IT!

If these products are in good condition, they will freshen the tablet and sell them as refurbished products.

Depends on how long you've had it. Since launch? Then yes. It could die tomorrow and if you don't have an extended warranty service on it then you're out of luck. If you just bought it and have it covered under AppleCare then no. I wouldn't.

Interesting replies. I bought ipad 3 when it first came out, 32g, wifi. No Apple care. Pondering. Would like to get some value for it. Just DH and I and he has iPad Air so he doesn't want it. LM
