Can someone please tell me how to get rid of the EXEchecker? The ads don't show up, but the words "Ads by EXEchecker" show up all over the place. It is enabled on my extensions, but when I try to disable, it won't work.
Thanks for any help!

The good news is it seems to be relatively easy malware to get rid of. The steps to remove it can be found at a number of sites. As these things go, removing it isn't all that difficult.

Thanks glb613 & G-Man for trying to help. I am still working on it - can't find it in my programs. The steps for getting rid of it seem kind of complicated (for a computer dummy like me). The actual ads don't show up, but it makes the computer scroll down to make room for the ads. I have the paid version of Malwarebyes installed & also Adblock Pro.
There is an item in my programs called "Media Player" - could that possibly be it? I found their ID & copied it, but don't know what to do with it - Lol. Wish I had a teenager around.
