Does anyone know if Yahoo has changed their email layout/format recently? I noticed it is differenet this morning. And I heard the new CEO was involved in making it easier to users...

We noticed a change to Yahoo a few days ago also. It lasted for about two days and then went back to the usual format. It has stayed the same since then. At first I thought my husband had changed it or was I just going crazy. Maybe they were beta testing.

Thank you. Your responses confirmed that my eyes or my mind has not gone completely yet.

Mine change a few days ago. The font is too light and to me it is harder to use. Change it back and maybe the CEO with it.

I love the addition of the garbage can next to each e-mail. However, I would prefer it be on the left side instead of the far right. I've had this for a week or so and it took me a little while to figure it out, but I'm getting used to it. It's not too bad.

I didn't like it at all......there was an option to go back to the old format and I did.

The "going back to the old format" option was about three changes ago.

The 11 Dec change took out much of the clutter that I didn't like, like Facebook and other social media links, so I think it's a great improvement.

The look of it, with that overall purple effect, is a bit "bargain basement, concrete floor" for my taste but the product is free so I'm not complaining.

For once, someone changed something on the internet and I like it better. I don't think that's ever happened before.

I like the old format three changes ago. Last time I tried was this morning. How silly I was. Now I guess there is no hope of getting it back.

Regarding the latest version, I did not even notice there is a garbage can on each line until a poster mentioned here. Thank you.

However, I still like to check the emails that I am going to delete and click the garbage can on the top. So I won't delete the one below or above by mistake.

There was no change to the way my e-mail looks on Yahoo but a few days ago there was a change to the way those little news photos - where there are 45 or however many little photos that you click on for the story - appeared. Instead of 5 or six across, there were only three and they were much bigger.

The change only lasted for a few hours and now it's back to the old format.

I HATE when yahoo does that.

I find the new email format to be horrible -- it looks like a drawing I made in Kindergarten.

Why change something that works perfectly fine? I believe it's because the 20-something software engineers at yahoo were bored and had nothing else to do.

My yahoo homepage also changed and I was ready to strangle my computer!

But when I restarted, the old homepage came back.

If they have such a desparate need to change their email or homepage - fine, BUT they should allow people to retain the old versions if people prefer them.

I feel they placed the "sign out" on the right because now there is a bigger chance that you will miss it and click on the ad below! I don't like change but love my Yahoo mail.

So glad to see this posting. I thought my kids had changed it and when accused, they all denied it. I hate it!!!

I like it. It's much cleaner-looking, IMO.

My Yahoo accounts are the ones I use the least, so how they look never mattered too much to me. Some of their changes were pretty bad, but I think the most recent changes are definitely an improvement. {#emotions_dlg.sleep}

Mine still looks exactly the same, the "old" way I guess. Hmmm.... not a garbage can in sight.

I can't find a way to add addresses to my blocked list any more. And we used to be able to have spam deleted without even looking at it. That feature isn't there now either.

Yahoo is only my secondary address, so it's not such a big deal. But upgrades don't necessarily make things better. I don't think this one did.

I didn't know what you all were talking about as mine hadn't changed. So I did a refresh and poof! there it is.

Eh. Everything changes. I guess I'll get used to it.

go to mail options and then you will see block addy's in the menu on the left - you will be able to add them there.

Yes, that's where it used to be. But now there's no Mail Options tab at all, only Inbox and Contacts. I can designate a message as Spam, but I can't block the address anymore. At least not that I can find.

it's not under a tab! you have to click the spoke/wheel thingy in the top right corner and a menu will pop-down with all these options. i don't know anything about blocking because i never need it. only my mom, brother and sister know my yahoo addy. anything and anyone else ALWAYS goes to spam and i delete that once a month.
