Last night, they debuted this pendant. J293623. It's a necklace that can be adjusted at 16", 17" and 18". However, the pendant itself is stationary. If you adjust it to fit at 16", won't it lay wrong? Wouldn't the clasp in the back be pushed more to the side of the neck? I would think that the pendant would need to slide in order for it to change length? I've had other pendant necklaces that can be adjusted at different lengths, but the pendant always moves on the chain.
Am I seeing this wrong? It just seems that a stationary pendant would not sit correctly if the chain length changed.

The weight of the eye should keep it centered in front.

It is a small pendant, but what about the back of the necklace with the clasp, wouldn't that be pushed more forward when adjusting the pendant?
Just wondering. Thanks!

I don't know about pushed forward ... the clasp would be slightly to the side, with the extra chain dangling down.

This particular pendant does not slide, it's fixed to the chain, so there is no adjusting it.
I think ennui is right though, it's light enough and small enough that it might not make a difference.
Thanks.

You're going to have a tail hanging down the back of your neck if you choose to shorten the necklace is the only thing I'd find annoying...

The pendant will continue to remain centered. You will clasp it in a link an inch or 2 (depending if it's now 16 or 17 inches) from the original point, and the excess chain will dangle down. Still aligned as before with the little one or 2 inches dangling down in back.
