the style is cute since there aren't the thin straps that are too bare.....but the horizontal stripes are a deal-breaker for me....I can't imagine the stripes would flatter anyone at all.

I look really dumb in them... maxis They do not appeal to me for that reason.

If you're under 5'10"" or over a size 4 I'd forget this one and keep looking.

I am 5 foot 8 and even at my height would not wear this particular maxi. Looks like something D&C put together in a rush.

Funny, Liz Claibourne has almost exactly the same dress. I'm not crazy about stripes but I'm afraid they talked me into it and I ordered it. I'm still not crazy about the dress but I kept it. It looks pretty good really; but I have yet to wear it anywhere other than at home. it's just out of my comfort zone.

I think the armholes on this one look very big.

I'M a size 16, horizontal stripes won't make my hips look bigger than they are. No more than vertical stripes make me look thinner. Nice colors but the arm holes look big, huge. And sometime D&Co dresses can be made from "wimpy" material. Sometimes, not always. I'll pass on this one.
