Hope this is them. We call them a different name but on HSN they call them melt a ways which is like the cookie I make. Just made two more batches yesterday as they are our friends favorite. Ours too!!!

1 cup butter

1/2 cup powdered sugar

1 tsp. vanilla

Cream above until light and fluffy

add in

2 cups flour

1 cup finely chopped pecans

Roll into 1 inch balls, place 2 inches apart on cookie sheet and bake @ 350 for 14 minutes. Let cool slightly and roll in additional powdered sugar. Once completely cool, roll again in powdered sugar.

Sure hope this helps.

The above recipe is the one I have used too. We called them Russian teacakes.

Thank you, Vicki, this looks familiar. I remember beating the sugar and butter , for 10 minutes. Another Michigander , Merry Christmas !
