Costco's Kirkland K Cups

Has anyone tried this 100 count I saw yesterday? How do these compare to the Caribou K Cups?

I tried a sample at Costco yesterday and it was way to strong for me. We like the lighter roasts so I stick with what I know we like. It was a really good price for the amount you get.

Normally I love the Kirkland brand too, but when I saw the box said "bold", I knew it would be too strong for us. We are whimpy.

I usually buy my k cups at Costco online. I like the Caibou Blend which is a medium roast. Check out Costco online, they have really beefed up what they are now carrying. They have a Kirkland light breakfast blend among others.

If it is the Kirkland brand Breakfast blend it is a light roast, not as strong as Caribou which is a medium roast. Compared to the Donut House it is still a lighter roast. If you like a weaker coffee it maybe for you. Great buy.

For those of you that like weaker coffee, you can add some hot water to the cup for a weaker cup.

I love the Kirkland bold Kcups. To my taste it is a light tasting coffee. My other regular coffee is San Francisco Bay French Roast which has a more complex taste. I make my Kcups with 6 oz of water.

Thanks for the replies. I will check out the online offerings.

I got the pacific coast or something like that. They are excellent. We love bold coffee. K Cups are so expensive these days, and Costco has one of the cheaper prices per cup. My kids bought me the Keurig from the Q when it first came out. Cups were around 38-43 cents. Now they are twice that!

When my Mom comes over she likes weak coffee. I pour mine, then I run the water through a second time for my Mom. So we use the cup 2X!

I got these things on Ebay. "My Kaps." or my kap. You take the foil lid off k cups after they are used, refill the filter (after rinsing out grounds and you can pop these clear colorful caps on the filter and use your own coffee to prefill them so you have that quick grab, brew and go thing going. Check it out. Comes in a kit. With great istructions. I feel good knowing im not throwing iut wach cup after just one use! Use those babies man! I got a kit of four lids but may go back and get the 18 so i can premake a bunch. I think they also make filters to fit in there.

That's a new one for me Silvergirl. I have the little paper filters but I would love to try the caps! I just went to Costco.com and the are some different choices too.

They are the dupe for Newman's extra bold..we like strong coffee so all is good for us.

I can't see the price online so I'm not sure if this will help or be a comparable price, but an alternative you might want to consider is San Francisco French Roast from Amazon. 80 k-cups for less than $32 delivered to your door if you sign up for subscribe n save. I would say they are bold but not bitter.

I saw an infomercial on TV yesterday, where they have this new French Press coffee maker that uses KCups. Looks like something great for travel, or when the Keurig machine is acting up.

Has anyone seen it?

I do like bold not bitter. The Starbucks Dark Verona were $3 off at Costco, today, but I feared bitterness and passed. Thanks.

If I'm using a stonger blend, I'll just set the Keurig for a larger mug size. It doesn't solve the issue completely, but it helps. For regular unflavored coffee, though, I like Donut House.

They sell k cups of some sort at Aldi's now too - hubby saw them there yesterday in fact.

The price is good on the about .35 each but I'd like to try first have they been demo'd at the store at all. I haven't seen them. The price on GM Breakfast Decaf is good, I think I am going to use up what I have at home first

We always buy our K-Cups at Costco. Only coffee. We like our coffee very strong.

I may never pass this way again.

I picked up a box of Kirkland Pacific Bold k-cups today. I usually purchase Tully's French Roast. Hope I like them since there are 100 in box! Will try tomorrow morning.

Wow!{#emotions_dlg.biggrin} Bought a box this afternoon of Costco's Kirkland Pacific Bold (100 ct box / $37.99) and brewed one up as soon as I got home. Newman's Own Extra Bold is my favorite K-Cup so that is what I am comparing it to, brewed it up at 11oz and added the exact same amout of 1/2 & 1/2. Now, Newman's is a Medium roast and these are Dark roast so I was expecting it to be a bit stronger - WRONG! The taste was smooth, not bitter. Little bit of smokiness but not as much as Newman's. I am not ready to proclaim this my #1 brew yet but it is well on its way, need to give it at least another dozen samplings. So ifyou like NO:Extra Bold give this a try as it is an excellent value.{#emotions_dlg.thumbup}

I bought the Costco brand Pacific Bold and have to brew a smaller cup. I am going back to Tully's French Roast but it was worth a try.
