Good deal on k-cups

I have been buying k-cups at Big Lots, they are only 9>00 for 16-18 depending on what you buy. They don't always have it but I went yesterday and they had the "Entertainer" for 24.00, 48 k-kups, 8 diffferant varities, 6 of each. The Kohls ad had the same exact thing for 34.99, regularly 42.00 I boughtf the entertainer, a box of hot chocolate and a box of tullys decaf and with my 20% off on my rewards card, spent less than 34.00. They don't always have a big variety but I always find something I like. They are cheaper than any other place including Walmart, the same thing at Walmart is anywhere from 10.98 - 12.98. So if you have a Big Lots close to you, check them out for the k-cups.

Hi Rustys mom, I've been doing that for a while at the two near me. One of the Big Lots had a really nice selection, including the "Entertainer" one you mentioned. The k-cups have now suddenly disappeared at both stores except a box or two of hot chocolate. Big Lots had restocked them in the past, but they don't know if they'll continue. All of the boxes were fresh and still had several months to go before expiration.

Yes, I wish I'd known they might never get them again. I would have bought several boxes and put them in freezer bags. It keeps the coffee fresh, doesn't clump, and doesn't affect the taste. Just put them out on the counter to warm up before you want to use them.

I'll have to try Big Lots, I never even thought of them for cups!

My biggest K cup score was at TJ Maxx, where I found the large variety boxes that I think come with the Keurig, but are closer to an expiration date to be put out with the machines. There were also smaller boxes that may or may not have come with the Keurig, but didn't have an expiration date and were definitely good deals. The box I have came with 48 cups. I talked to a woman who worked at Starbucks and has a Keurig and she said she always gets hers from TJ Maxx, so I'd imagine they are there often. She likely has a discount being at Starbucks too! Just thought I'd share in case anyone didn't know about TJ Maxx either. I'm sure some of you have already discovered them!

Thanks again for posting about Big Lots, it's only a few minutes from my house!

The thing about TJMaxx and Big Lots is that the supply is unreliable. Buy them if you see them, but don't expect them to be there next time.

The cheapest I have found lately at a B&M store is at Marshall's. 18 cups for 7.99. French Roast and I got a box of Cappuccino. They had some fru-fru blends, but we like the bolder roast.

I'm auto-order from Amazon for the San Francisco Bay one-cups. It's $31.35 for 80 cups, with free shipping. That works out to around .39 per cup.

That will go up a little in Feb. when us Arizonans will be paying sales tax on Amazon orders.

If you would like to save more....

Instead of buying hot chocolate k-cups you can buy a box of 30 swiss miss packages for less than $4.00 a box at Walmart. All you have to do is empty the package in the cup and run water in the keurig.

You can also save money on tea buying regular tea bags and using the Keurig to heat water.

I do this also. I just had a cup of mango green tea made with water from the Keurig.

We starting being charged sales tax about a month or so ago. Sure adds a lot to the purchase. Will they tax the K-cups if they are considered food?

Thanks for the tip on Big Lots. I don't live near one but I will let my daughter know, she lives close to one and I gave her a Keurig a few years ago. I usually get the big giant boxes from Costco or Sam's Club. We really like that Starbucks Veranda k cups, but I haven't found the big boxes of those yet. I always look though!
