So sad by the news that Roderick passed away last week. He seemed like such a sweet, humble and wonderful person. I will miss his soft spoken voice and the way he explained the inspirations behind his beautiful, cool jewelry. My prayers go out to his wife and the rest of his family.

Photo: We have sad news to share with our collectors. Our friend and colleague, designer Roderick Tenorio, passed away on May 17 after a long fight with cancer. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends during this difficult time. Roderick was an important member of the Relios family, and his spirit, grace, humility and artistic vision were an inspiration to all of us. It was an honor to work with him and his jewelry brought joy to so many women around the world. We invite all of you who knew, loved and admired Roderick to share your thoughts, memories and stories about how he and his work touched your lives.

In my life, I've loved them all...

This news is so sad. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family.

Roderick was a very spiritual man and it was expressed in his pieces of art. A very soft spoken gentle man. I will miss him very much.

I have collected several of his pieces over the years and loved them, I will appreciate them even more now. God speed.

matchy, matchy, is catchy.

Hello ladies . . I'm wearing his Wind Dancer earrings and beautiful turq butterfly ring. I love the symbols on both pieces and how unique they are . . like Roderick was.

In my life, I've loved them all...

Hello all sisters!

Hi Haca - I think you'll really like his cross - I love to wear it on red coral beads. Ok, now I have to go put that on too.

In my life, I've loved them all...

Jugtown- thanks for letting us know. I have the cross and an amazing ring he made several years ago that is shaped like the head of a kachina or something. Was he a member of the Hopi tribe? I appreciate you ladies on this forum. Have a great Memorial Day week-end.

I'm so sorry to hear this. He had such a lovely, gentle soul. A number of his designs have touched me deeply. His early gentle rain silver/gold band has served me as an alternate wedding band at times. His more recent turquoise ring with kachina images on the sides makes me feel a deep connection when I wear it. His artistry was truly a gift to all of us. He will be missed.

My condolences to his family and friends.

What happened? He wasn't old ... was he?

I'm sad. Thanks for letting us know, jt.

I don't think he belonged to the Hopi tribe. I believe he was a member of the Santo Domingo tribe, outside of Santa Fe. I too wonder what happened to him. I goggled his name but did not find an obituary or any info on his death. I too love his jewelry and own the pendant that was designed by a few of the Native American artists. It is truly an art piece. I do want the cuff that he made on Carolyn's jewelry page (not QVC). If you find any additional info on his death, please share.

Just got back from vacation and am devastated to hear of this -- he was a member of the Santo Domingo tribe - very spiritual and a wonderful artist - I feel so privileged to have so much of his jewelry -- didn't know he was sick - so very sad - blessings on his family and loved ones!!

Today in Roderick's honor, I wore one of his SS/14k cuffs. Shined it up and it glistens in the sun. We have lost a great artist.

Since I learned of Roderick's passing I've been searching for his butterfly ring to wear in his honor. I'm so pleased my search is over, and it's flying home to me.

The trouble with life is there's no background music.

It is strange how this thread 're-appeared' today, weeks after Roderick Tenorio's passing. I remember the announcement of the passing of Roderick Tenorio and I was so sad for his family and friends. He was such a talented artist and he seemed so kind. The Q had a simple turquoise and silver bead necklace that I had wanted, but it had been sold out. Regardless, I would still continue checking hoping that one would someday show up. Well, it did. I checked the Q site this morning, after I checked the Lunchtime Specials and there was the simple beaded necklace......needless to say, I ordered it. I hope everyone has a happy and safe week.
