Village Candles (with wood wick)

I recently bought a Village candle with the wood wick. Do you use a regular wick trimmer or is there a trimmer made especially for this type of wick?

TIA.

Re: Village Candles (with wood wick)

I have a Yankee with a wood wick and I use my regular trimmer. It works fine.

Years ago I bought the Woodwick brand candles and was not thrilled with the burn.

The Yankee candles I have now with a similar wick seem to burn a bit better, but their is no fragrance throw at all. I'm very disappointed.

It is a Christmas cedar/pine scent, so perhaps that is the issue. Not sure I would buy them again.

Witchy Woman - Thanks for the info.

This is my first time trying a wood wick candle. So far, so good. Yankee candles are still my favorite (regular wick). I burn Balsam & Cedar and Holiday Bayberry throughout the Christmas season. Both have great throw.

Enjoy your candles!
