Any Suggestions on Good Picture Books?

I'd like to send a first book to my 15-month-old grandson for Christmas. I'd appreciate any titles you can recommend.

My kids loved this. There are no words, just pictures, but it is obvious what is happening in the story. Sometimes I told the story or asked questions about what was happening or let them tell me the story in their own words. It's such a wonderful way to appreciate a book!

Thanks, Marsha. We are giving him a dump truck so that book could be a good one.

The Farmer and the Clown by Marla Frazee is a wordless picture book in which a farmer rescues a baby clown who has bounced off the circus train, and reunites him with his clown family. It is precious. It's about kindness and friendship.

Also Snowman's Story by Will Hillenbrand.

How about the Dr. Seuss and The Wild Things? Working at a library for many years and working for 2 yrs. with kids before that, I've seen a few. Trying to remember after all this time is another story, LOL.
