I THINK there was a book mentioned here. It is new and a mystery about a Home Shopping network. I do not remember the title. Can anyone help me out?

I only know of the Laura Levine books (mysteries with laughs). Her mother always shops at HSN and sends her daughter, Jaine Austin (her mother can't spell) emails all the time, like, 'and it was only 49.95 plus shipping and handling.'

Even the titles are funny ... "Shoes to Die For," "Death by Pantyhose." Have you read many of the LL books?

I just had my library order Shoplandia. It sounds like a fun book, and I can't wait to see which characters I can identify.

There was another novel about home shopping several years ago. It was a murder mystery at a home shopping network, and many of the characters were OBVIOUS. The title eludes me now. Does anyone remember it?

Re: mystery about home shopping

I just found that home-shopping satire I was referring to above.

The title is Sellevision, and it was written by Augusten Burroughs. This book really satirized the Q show hosts from back in the day. You could immediately tell who he was writing about.

I don't think the show hosts were too pleased but I thought it was a riot {#emotions_dlg.thumbup}{#emotions_dlg.laugh}
