I had a mystery date Saturday nite

My birthday was last week. {I also have been sick for the last two weeks.} Saturday am the husband asked me if I felt well enough to do dinner and a concert. Naturally I asked where and who and he said it was none of my business!! I was intrigued so I agreed. I wore a really nice pair of jeans {with long underwear as I am ALWAYS cold}, a silk blouse and a sweater.

Went to really nice Italian restaurant and he had arranged for us to have the table in front of the fireplace. The food as really good. After the meal he asked what kind of dessert I wanted and I really didn't want anything and said so. He said of course you do, order something--so I figured there was something coming--and I was right. Along with my dessert came a box with an enameled dragonfly on a silk cord! After that was the concert--one of my favorite folk singers!

All in all a perfect night. Not because of the presents, but because 33 years later the guy still cares.

OK, go ahead--bash away.

Only someone who was jealous of you ,would "bash" you . That was a thoughtful ,caring ,and loving things your husband did for your birthday ! He sounds like a keeper ,to me ! We need more husbands like yours in the world .

Yeah--he really is romantic. Every year, without fail, I get a dozen roses on our son's birthday.
