Cornsilk was a pressed powder that went on translucent and absorbed oil. I used it regularly when my skin was an oil slick.
Is there anything on the beauty market now that is comparable?

I just googled Cornsilk. Several places are selling it on Amazon. It comes in both loose and pressed powder.

I remember they also made a lovely liquid foundation. I wonder why they quit making it.

Vermont Country Store carries it. They are my go-to for things long gone. They even found a way to bring this stuff back from the 70s:

Chynna, I remember that shampoo from my childhood! My Mom never used it, but I think there was a commercial. It came after "cuckoo for cocoa puffs!"
