Has anyone "adopted" an olive tree from Italy and then received olive oil from the tree? I want to do this for my son's birthday, but I need some recommendations.
Thanks in advance.

I don't think one tree would yield much oil - say 4-5 liters in an average year. And of course you'd have no assurance the oil you received actually came from xyz tree. But it would be a fun gift if it didn't cost too much.

I've never heard of this~sounds interesting! How do you buy an olive tree? Do you have a website? Thanks for any info you may have!
