Tanning lotion vs. tanning mousse

Does anyone have a preference? I am looking at the Vita Liberata self tanner on the Sephora site. They have lotion, mousse, untinted and tinted. Which is best?

I have the Vita Liberata for the face in LIGHT. But it was too light so I am going with the MEDIUM. Anyone have experience with Vita Liberata? (So many choices-ha!)
