There are several vendors on E Bay,just use their search engine and put in what you are looking for. Also,Paula Young Wigs, out of Massachusetts has pieces for thinning hair I believe.I have used Toni Brattin(now on ShopHQ I think)pieces over the years as well.Try not to focus on being matchy/matchy with the color.A shade warmer or cooler, aswell as lighter or darker will work out fine!

Why not get a sewn-in hair extensions? My cousin went that route ... looks great.

I bought some for my daughter at Sally Hansen. I don't know the brand name, but it was nice to see the colors in person. They are clip in, but just to give you fair warning, you can see the clips if you don't hid them under your hair that lays on top of it. Not sure they would work for you, but you might ask while you are in there. I find the SAs in SH to be very helpful.

I also recommend sewn-in extensions. This is what I would do if I ever thought my hair was thinning.

I am sorry to hear about your condition.I was reading a womans day magazine and they had a home remedie that could help with hair loss.I only had to get a few items and it was easy to make but after 4 months I have new growth on top of my head and these hair are about 3 inches long.I to am in my forties and my hair was falling out and it truly scared me and I started using nioxen and taking vitamins and one day it just slowed down but my hair was thin up top.I was not growing new hair.So I went to my dr and she checked my thyroid and a whole bunch of other stuff and could find nothing wrong. So I will give you this home recipe and maybe you can try it and maybe it can help you grow hair under your hair pieces.

6 stems of fresh rosemary

2 cups of distilled water

2 tablespoons of vegetable glycerin (i found on ebay cheap to buy)

heat the water to luke warm/place rosemary in water for 5 hours/remove rosemary and pour water in squirt bottle/add vegetable glycerin and shake/keep refrigerated

after washing hair spray scalp and massage in...thats it so simple and cheap

this work for me and I hope it will help you/good luck and god bless

I purchased a Toni Brattin hair piece from Evine. It's for covering thinning hair on the top. They have curly or straight, and some with bangs. Here's a link or you could do a search on Evine under Toni Brattin hair fillers.

Re: help thinning hair! Need hair clip ons.

I have very thin hair with balding like the woman in the Video just not that severe Went to 2 Specialists, no way would they do sewn in extentions it would cause even more damage. So I invested in a real hair topper problem my hair is naturally about 4 shades of red and brown could not match the hair piece to my hair. Clip on extensions that I have seen are not for the top of the head but for sides or back to had fullness. So I am stuck using Great hair day and a comb over. Always looking for a solution. Good Luck

Re: help thinning hair! Need hair clip ons.

After a hysterectomy and chemo in my mid 40's, my hair started to thin. I now wear a synthetic topper by Amore called md top piece (md = medium). In my opinion, a topper is more comfortable than a full wig. Mine clips onto the 4 "corners" on top of my head covering the area where my hair is thinning. There are many different kinds out there, synthetic and human hair, that clip onto different parts of the head. There's a forum called wigsupport.com where ladies going through different stages of hair loss post information and encourage each other. They are very helpful and can answer any questions you have. I would suggest going to a wig shop to see what they have and to get an idea of color and style. There are inexpensive places to actually buy them such as galleryofwigs.com. You've got to do some research to find the one that suits you best. Hope that helps and good luck.

Re: help thinning hair! Need hair clip ons.

I agree that a topper is the best way to go for thinning on the top, and it may give you enough coverage so that you could add clip ins for sides and back if you wanted also. My baldness is on the top as well, and my DD and DGD are sadLy dealing with the same thing. Terrible hair genes.
