Mally eyeliner smell?

I got these during the ovarian cancer fundraiser. Mally Beauty 5-Piece Mini Waterproof EvercolorLiner

they smell like an old crayon? {#emotions_dlg.crying}Is this normal?

You inspired me to go and smell all my Mally eye liners. I have never done such a thing! {#emotions_dlg.laugh} Mine have a smell, not sure if it's like old crayon, but they're not odorless. I also smelled my Ulta ones, which I find are similar to Mally's and they don't really have a smell. I don't have issues with either Mally or Ulta and I love both brands of eye liners.

Yep. I've experienced this with Mally liners as well (evercolor starlight pencils.) Oddly only some of them do. Some seem to have no discernible scent. Is the texture OK? Is it possible they've turned?

I haven't smelled all of them yet. they seem to work fine.
