To help their sagging bank account, Dr. Phil's wife, Robin, will bring their skincare line to HSN!

Oh, my, Fortune. Get ready. The last time someone posted this news, it went downhill might quickly. {#emotions_dlg.devil2}

Oh yeah! Another way for someone without a known ability on this topic, to get on TV & push mediocrity.

Now I have heard it all! She has had mega work done, so that makes her skin care line how effective, lol

I certainly won't be watching. She looks terrible with all the work she had done.

Wow, I don't think I've ever seen so many simultaneous posts. That either bodes well or -- not so much.

I read that she went with HatchBeauty, LLC to develop her product line. Their client list has many brands we are familiar with, including Juice Beauty, Kate Somerville, Living Proof, Paula's Choice and Serious Skin Care.

Very respectable lines all. As I said the last time this dead horse was beaten I will judge the line on the merit of its ingredients. Novel approach.

So true! The ingredients are more important than the name on it.

I'm happy already with what I use and am not looking for anything new.

But, it seems, whoever she is, she isn't liked and thus her products won't stand a chance. LOL

Not necessarily, Lucky. If people dislike someone just because she has lots of money and some celebrity status, it still might be a big draw out of curiosity, if nothing else. And anyway, it hasn't hurt Jennifer Stallone, has it?

I will admit that although I do sometimes enjoy watching the Dr. Phil show, some things about it and about him annoy me greatly. But that's about him. I don't really have any thoughts about her, other than a fleeting opinion that she looks sort of -- I don't even know what the right word would be, maybe vapid or something? It's just one of those things that I wouldn't normally post but keep to myself. Wink

I am not interested in trying another skincare line but I wish her the best. While I agree that they are not hurting for money, this may be something that she is truly passionate about. I don't know her reasons and don't think it's right to pass judgement. JMHO

My goodness, I hope it doesn't interfere with her stepford wife duties of sitting in the audience of her husband's show every day.

And, what would make me want to make that purchase?

I don't mind Robin the times I've seen her on television. I appreciate the fact that she is late middle age and has taken care of herself - with help of fillers, cosmetic dentistry, image consultants, nutritional gurus, etc. I have always used the natural organic product lines starting back in the 70's. They delivered for me. Her book 'What's Age Got To Do With It', inspired lots of middle aged gals to understand that they had many good years ahead of them.

I don't care for her husband because he comes across so strongly as 'wanting his way'. He doesn't stop badgering the ladies until they start to cry. That's not right in my opinion.

Recently on a show discussing the perils of too much plastic surgery, Dr. Phil said Robin had watched an actual face lift and swore she would never have anything done - and the camera panned to her shaking her head and mouthing "Never!". Hmmmm….

Namaste

Okay, Dr. Phil .... for some reason I thought his last name was DeGraw or something. I've seen her. Maybe she's never had a facelift, just fillers, etc. Or maybe she was saying 'Never' as in 'I never said that!!!' LOL.

It would be so refreshing to see someone who is currently active in cutting edge dermatology research bring a clinically verified brand new line to the Q ..{#emotions_dlg.rolleyes}

Robin looks amazing. She has written a beauty book and is somewhat of an "expert" based on how she looks - decades younger. She states she hasn't had plastic surgery and I tend to believe this as the tabloids are very good at ferreting out this information and the McGraws are favorite tabloid targets.

That said - I don't know that I would be interested in her skin care line as all the celebrity skin care lines are mediocre in my opinion.

I remember a show she did where she said she used the derma roller and some aloe vera products. I agree with Love Roses, she inspired many women to take control of their health and appearance.

I do like her and I think her heart is in the right place. I wish her success in her new venture. I'll probably watch her show out of curiosity. I like seeing what is out there in the world of skincare.
