Red light therapy hand held

Ladies, is there a difference between these hand held red light tools? The lightstim on qvc is so expensive and I've seen cheaper ones on eBay and amazon like Sirius and oem brands. Do you think they all work the same? Tia!

I'm not sure of the difference.

I just got the Tanda Luxe on sale from HSN & used a discount code for more off.

I'd love to hear from others using red light therapy.

Thanks! How long have you been using it - and how often?

The Tanda Luxe instructions said 2-3 times per week so I've been thinking I'd use it every other day. Then I find info where someone had emailed Tanda CS & about how often is safe and CS said ever day is fine as long as you have no skin irritation. But would more often give better/faster results? Or just wear the light out faster?

Tanda is one of the red light tools that you don't use a product with. You use it on dry, clean skin.

I would suggest you use the Tanda every 3 days days and do 2 passes but be sure to leave the light on for 20 seconds each section but be sure to cover each section thoroughly. Section your face in 6 sections and each section cover each area for at least 20 seconds. When I first started using the Quasar Pro I was using hyaluronic acid that the company suggested. Then I found that using it on clean dry face was fine and immediately applying my serums on was fine. When Dimitri came out with this Essence pre treatment fluid I started using this and it really, really helped. I have been using the Quasar since 2007. Whatever light you use I would truly not do it everyother day. You have to give your skin a down time to recover and to (somewhat reawaken) the skin cells. That Skinn Essence is so good for the light tx. and also before you apply your skin care EVEN no matter what you use---myself, I prefer Skinn but anything you use it will give the light a boost with the Essence. HTH!!! Sincerely.

Thanks so much for all the info, addtothis!

I'll try skipping two days between treatments. I was wondering if you need the time to recover. Kind of like weight training. I am going to have to put the schedule in my calendar or I'll forget when to do it.

So you apply the Essence & then do the Red Light Therapy.. Is it more like a watery consistency? I might get it. I was trying to think if I have anything similar but I don't think I do. And I do like SKINN products.

The Tanda goes for 3 minutes at a time & I have been leaving it in one spot the entire time rather than moving it around. It does beep every 30 seconds so you can time it & move it if you want but I was thinking more in one spot would be better. It does take a long time to do the face this way.

Willdob3, Yes it is a watery consistency but it has such good ingredients with the coconut oil and hylauranic acid (exuse sp) and it is absorbed into your skin. Not good to use a thick serum when doing the light therapy depending on the amount of joules emitted from the light. The essence is a perfect product to use and it will be absorbed totally into your skin and plump the skin. Then apply your products and see how much better your skin will look!!

I wish you all the BEST Willdob3!!! Sweet Dreams!! :-)

Does anyone know WHY the serum is necessary? And what other serums are good to use?

Serums w/ peptides are also good to use. (Peptides are the cell communicators.)

The LED/light will allow the serum ingredients to penetrate deeper into your skin layers and help to build collagen & elastin from underneath your surface skin.

If I had one such device, I wouldn't use without some kind of topical. I would even use aloe, since organic aloe has a lot of vits/mins. Also, the aloe would protect from any kind of skin sensitivity to the light.

I should think with the serum, you would also get a nice immediate result.
