Wow! New Hair Curling Device! Anyone try it?

Has anyone tried the new curling device called "Curl Secret" by Conair? I just watched an info mercial on it. It is amazing! Just take an inch or two thickness strand of hair hold it straight, put curling device on strand...it pulls the strands into the curler device...curls it, beeps, and releases awesome curls! Tourmoline Heated Device that promises NOT to damage hair! Curls different types of curls! For any length of hair! Promises not to let hair tangle in device. Curls entire head of long hair in 15 minutes, or less! Amazing what they come up with!

I haven't seen it, but it sounds like something I would be interested in. I'll be looking for it. Thanks!!

Haven't seen it, but I just googled it, and they sell it at Ulta.

Sounds great, but I've found I just can't get my dry hair to curl. Its either rollers or straight hair.

I went to get my hair cut last week and the hair dresser used it on me. It did make nice curls, but I noticed it was cumbersom to hold ( I imagine even harder if you were doing it yourself!) and it took a LONG TIME to do my head.

My dry hair also is impossible to curl. However, if I use product, usually spray, on it, it will curl.

Saw it on HSN not to long ago. It does look cool, but I'd be afraid of hair getting tangled. And you do have to take small sections of hair so it would take a long time to do an entire head.

A lot of the women who purchased this from HSN have complained that their hair got caught in the device and they had to cut it in order to free the hair!

I purchased this and a couple of things to note. First of all it is very heavy to hold and my hand got really tired after awhile. I have a lot of my hair and its long. Also as other people noted my hair did get stuck a couple times, luckily I was able to get it out and didn’t have to cut my hair. Lastly the type of curl it gives is very messy in my opnion not like the curl you get with other irons. I have used the sarah potempa beachwaver before and prefer that over this.

I purchased it at Ulta with the 20 off so I paid 79.99.......15 minutes to do an entire head?? Maybe if your hair is ultra thin............I have thick hair and it will take me a longggg time to do the entire head........I have yet to do the entire head....but it's pretty neat...

My opinion is quite the opposite..........I have thick and straight hair....I purchased the beachwaver, but I returned it because it's designed for people with thin hair....It would take 3 hours to do my hair with the Beach Waver. I thought the Beach Waver was much heavier than the Conair device. The Conair is very light weight, IMO. I prefer the Conair much over the Beach Waver. Plus, I have a nasty burn on my arm for the Beach Waver. Can't get a burn with the Conair............

I really really wanted to try this - but those stories if cutting your hair to get it out when it gets stuck turned me off! My daughter is a hair dresser and she said when she saw a demo the hair was dried and frizzy and looked damaged - might have been they used the same hair for a bunch of demos but she suggested that I pass - and I am a hair tool junkie! Will have to wait until a few more people have had a chance to review. Has anyone else seen that commercial for the devise that you attach to the hairdriee - has a cup you put hair into, turn on the dryer it whirls your hair around and Voila - a perfect curl! Cracks me up - especially since I considered it for a second before I came back to my senses!

I bought and tried it - basically my hair kept getting caught in it and it fried my hair - back it went! It is amazing how it pulls your hair straight in - sorry it didn't work.

Since I just purchased it, I have yet to do my entire head.........what I did do worked just fine. I did not have any of my hair fry, get stuck, or had to be cut. It worked just like I saw on TV and the curl was beautiful...........so far, I was happy with it........
