Lisa was rude to Sanctuary Spa lady...

I caught part of the presentation of the Sanctuary Spa set. I did not see the entire presentation. Lisa was saying how "amazing" the products were and how she's been fortunate to be given gift cards to spas in the past, but she's so busy that she can't go...can't find the time to make the apointments...blah, blah, blah, but with this, you can do it at home! She was going through the products and asked the vendor about the body butter winning awards. When the lady said "yes" and started to tell a little about it, Lisa kept on talking over her saying "fabulous" and then said "uh huh, and hold just a second"...then kept on showing the products and told the woman again "so just hold one minute." If you're going to ask about a product, at least give the woman a chance to answer you! Yes, she did go to her after that and let her tell about the body butter, but I just thought it was so rude to actually ask her a question and then not let her answer!! Sometimes I don't even know why they get vendors to promote the products because many times the hosts just won't give them a chance to talk. Yes, I know they have to "fill in" space so there is no "dead air" time, but if you are not going to let vendors promote their own products, there is no need to have them on!

Okay...rant over! I'm sure some of you will blast me but that's okay!

No, she wasn't. She had info she had to get out...producer in her ear. Like we said last time. Spa lady seemed grateful that she didn't have to talk. Lisa did a great job of talking the product up.

Sanctuary Spa is a low end line of products sold at Boots in England. I have tried a number of them and they were not worth it at all. I bought a big holiday set when I lived in London. It was rubbish.

I was watching and didn't think Lisa was rude to her.

I didn't see that part, but I think the reason why Lisa was talking so much is because that lady was lacking in personality and presentation skills. She kind of looked bored or like a deer in the headlights. ;) I think, too, the hosts just say stuff (I'm not sure, because I don't really watch the Q, but did tonight to see Mally) to work the product and make it sound like the item is really exclusive. It's all marketing.

And she asked her to hold for a moment very politely. I don't think the vendor is as upset as the OP seems to be.

I didn't think Lisa was rude. Like I said before, nothing beats Shawn putting her hand over Josie's mouth and saying "Wait! We love ya, BUT!"

OP here...didn't see the entire presentation, so I can't say how the lady acted the entire time. And I've never heard of this line of products, so I don't know the quality. I do know the hosts try to make it sound like every product is better than "sliced bread"...sell, sell, sell. I'm just saying if you're going to ask a question, let someone answer. I dvr'd it just to make sure I heard correctly. Yep, I did!

Would never have guessed that from the sell that Lisa gave it. That's one reason why she makes the big bucks.

Any of those vendors are probably happy as heck to just be on QVC know that they are going to sell a boat load of product. I'm sure that lady didn't mind Lisa at all.

I agree. the vendor was freezing up and it's Lisa's job to pick it up if the vendor can't. I felt the vendor was lacking enthusiasm about a product she is supposed to be promoting.

I don't think she was bored. I think she was nervous or uncomfortable on-air.

I agree, Lisa picked up on it and ran with the product

When someone shows you how they are, believe them.

I saw this presentation and I rarely comment, but I wasn't crazy about how Lisa handled it. The vendor was freezing a bit and I'm sure Lisa had her job to do, but I feel she steam rolled a bit. The vendor tried to talking about one of the products at one point and Lisa basically cut her off. I'm sure the powers that be wanted her to get on with it as the vendor was kind of stiff, but I feel that the vendor was about to offer a little more info on the product and not just a try it it's great approach without any details which is what Lisa was giving. I really like Lisa, just wasn't crazy about the approach on this one.

Thanks for heads up on this line, I like input like this.

We'd never know it was so low end and rubbish since it's so foreign to us (me!)...I've never heard of it.

I do use Elemis now [UK as you know] and my skin is looking great! I still use my C&E serum form another skin store. think I found a nice line all of what I use! Wish it were cheaper since I adore 5 of the products :(

Please don't tell me I've made a grammatical error...I hunt and peck - it's only a message board :)!

I disagree about this being rubbish. I've been to the spa in London (in fact, I went there yesterday as I am actually IN London right now) and it's frankly, pretty fabulous. The products smell so good and I think they're quite good quality. I've ordered them direct from the spa and for a very short time they had them (expensive) at Target.

Steamroll is exactly how I would describe the situation. I was surprised at how Lisa so abruptly shut her down. By contrast, I saw the same woman with Leah this morning. What a diffrence. Leah was gracious and allowed the guest to describe the line and products.

Did the vendor shed a few injured tears? Did she pick her stuff up off the table and slink off the set? Is she suing QVC for "Breech of Kindness"? THIS IS SELLING, not a tea party. If a lot of the vendor's stuff has been sold, she's happy.

I didn't come here to argue.- Peg Bracken

I didn't see the presentation and can't comment. I thought the older man presenting the PMD device was rude. The model was demonstrating the device on her face and he shoved her hand down with some force. Wow, I thought that was rude.

Yes, I think he did that because leaving it in one place for a while leaves those bruises we saw last time...

I didn't see this show but, a few months ago, I happened to see a "British Beauty" show and bought the Sanctuary Spa set of body butters and souffles.....I absolutely love this stuff!

I just reordered a 16 oz. size of their body butter....It is so moisturizing and the smell is so fresh and clean.....love, love, love it!

I rarely watch on-air shows now, but saw all of that presentation and ALMOST ordered!!

1) Lisa's ALWAYS running her mouth 110% of the time, regardless of vendor, so nothing new.

2) I didn't notice the vendor feeling uncomfortable/loss for words, what I did see/hear was Lisa's routine -- HAS TO HAVE THE FOCUS ON HERSELF 10000% of the time.

3) I hung up the phone before the order taker rep picked up, when I heard "....smells therapeutic" or something like that - because that means it smells has a funky medicinal stinky order, and who wants that??

4) I've learned the hard way the more the saleswoman (HSN or QVC employee) exclaims how AMAZING AMAZING or wonderful a product is in direct proportion to how generic/dollar store type it really is. My #1 example: a perfume on HSN that the saleswoman kept sniffing on her arm, and for 10 min. straight kept exclaiming OMG OMG OMG OMG SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO YUMMYYYYYYYYYYYY. I love the gal who was selling (not Colleen, another gal), but the perfume had ZERO scent!
