Does anyone use the Calista Perfecter Heated Round Brush?

Started 1366852703.953 in Beauty Banter | Last reply 1387141549.623 by PLee

Hi everyone! I was wondering about the Calista Tools Perfecter Heated Round Brush. I know it's sold out at the moment, so I apologize in advance for bringing attention to the (unavailable) product. I have it on waitlist order, I've been going back and forth on buying it because it actually came out to a $100 order after tax and shipping (ouch). I finally decided to get it because I have a friend who is getting married soon, and I'd like to use this to curl my hair for her wedding! I have pin straight hair naturally, so I am really hoping this will do the trick! I found out it is shipping to me now, so I'm looking forward to trying it out. Does anyone else use this to curl or wave their hair?

I wanted to buy this too, but the high price was holding me back. I just couldn't see paying that much to curl hair.

I thought it had been discontinued because I still check the website and can't find it. Can you give the item #?

Respectfully ~
Kate

I have it and love it. I waited 3 months on wait-list for it. My hair is long (below collarbone). I air-dry my hair first semi-dry...then use a round brush to dry the rest. I then use the Calista Heated Round Brush to style my hair. My hair is not pin straight..it is wavy...my hair is thin but I have a lot of it, if that makes sense. It turns under my hair and eliminates any friz. If I wind it more, and hold it for about 10-15 sec. I get a very nice soft curl. It is perfect for me and I hope it never dies! I have used cheaper ones I got at Amazon ... looked exactly the same...but this one does a much nicer job. I think if my hair was shorter, it would give a really nice curl as well. I am not sure how it will work on pin straight hair...but I think it will do a nice job. Just not sure if the curl and body will last a few days...you may have to use it daily on straight hair. I hope it works for you! {#emotions_dlg.biggrin}

I have been using it for a couple weeks now and really, really like it (NOT the price though!!) I am not the best at styling my hair but this is giving me a terrific look.

I have layered, below shoulder length, thinner hair, fairly straight w/ just some weird kinks and wanted it for smoothing frizz (I am the WORSE blow dryer!! Round brushes HATE me!) It DOES that just combing it through.

I also wanted it for just turning in my ends which I can never seem to do w/ a flat iron. Smooth, straight hair w/ just the ends turned in. It DOES that!

I have also used it to pull out my layers and give them turned back, beachy, bouncy curls and it sure does that!

It is fast and easy. I do have to be careful NOT to tangle by turning too tightly though. It holds all day long! Sometimes then the next morning, I do retouch but again, this is fast.

So sorry I bought the instyler...this accomplishes the same outcome and is SO much easier! This is going to be my travel tool for sure since it is so very versatile! Good luck with yours!!

I don't post much on here but I had to reply to this. I recently saw this presented in march and then it disappeared like it never existed. I looked everywhere for it and was able to order it from tryperfecter.com. You get the calista heated brush, travel bag, clips, and detangling brush for $99.99. I chose three payments of $33.33 in case I didn't like it and wanted to send it back. There was free shipping and no tax, as well as 60 days to return. I was excited to find an alternative place to purchase and wanted to share. I got it yesterday and haven't played around with it to much but I think it will be good. It heats up super fast and really does not burn your hand when you touch it. I am a working mom of a 3 y/ o and 1 y/o so I wanted something fast and easy. Hopes this helps those out who might of missed out on it in march like I did!

Have you tried looking for it at Ulta? The rollers are there and they have great sales/coupons and free shipping over $25.

Thank you Niki for that info! I wanted another one for my daughter and couldn't find it anywhere! It comes to the same price I paid at Q but would get the travel case which I really want!

Thanks for the link. The website says 3-4 weeks delivery! Did yours take that long? I like that they offer the 3 payments on it.

I don't think the one mentioned above is the Calista Tools heated brush like the O/P is talking about.

I went to the link and it doesn't look like it.

Where do you get the Calista Tools heated brush?

I was interested in this tool as well, so I appreciate the information. I never saw it on QVC, but the Perfecter Fusion Styler is advertised by Maria McCool and she mentions Calista Tools. There is a new price of 3 payments of $29.99, if you leave the page, but come back and take the survey. So, if you bought it from the Q, is this one the same? Thanks.

I'm commenting on this too, so I can come back and find out more about this brush...first I've heard of it.

I have Calista's rollers in the long and the medium and they are wonderful..would like to know more about the brush though !

I agree the picture on the web site doesn't look exactly like it but I think it is the angle they have taken the picture at. If you go into the product tab, it does say Calista Tools and the lady in the video is the same on that is on QVC. Thanks for the tip about leaving the web site and them lowering the price!

I also wondered if the was the same brush but after looking around the website and at video's, I think it is.

Sunshine, I believe it is the same..it says Calista Tools right on it.

How did you see a new price of 3 @$29.99? Did you do something special? I have been back and forth to that site over 2 days now...trying to stall ordering my second!! My price is always the $33.33??? Any tricks?

When you go to leave the site a pop up asks are you sure. Click no and it will give you a survey question of why are you leaving the site. Pick one of the answers and it will offer you the special price of $10 off.

Edits to add: OK. I caved and purchased. When you do, it offers you an additional purchase price for additional units of 25% off, so if you want more than 1, order 1 and then you can add the rest for 25% off! Then because I selected the 3 payments, it offered me the 4 year warranty free if I paid in 1 payment so I said yes and got that free. The only thing that concerns me is the 3-4 week delivery...that seems long; but the Q is running a almost 2 weeks right now on most things for me so I will see how it goes. I will post back if I run into any issues.

Click on order and the try to surf to another web site like QVC and leave this one. It will ask you are you sure and that they have a special offer for you or somthing to that effect. Answer No don't leave. It will then offer you the special price to purchase now.

Item #?

I am thinking QVC will offer this as a TSV in the next few months since they will now have to complete with the infomercial, etc.

A234949 is the item number, but it is sold out at the moment. It seems to take forever for them to come back in stock. It would be just my luck it for it to be a TS soon.

Go in and place an order but do not submit. Use your back arrow and back out and a screen will come up to answer a one question survey and then you can order for the $29.99. I just got one!!! Thanks everyone!!!

I just saw the informercial for this last night with Patti Reilly and the McCool lady that sells it!

I hope QVC gets it in stock soon, because I'd rather buy from them than pay 3 payments @ $33 each!

How did someone get it for $29???

~~Merry Christmas Y'all~~

I'm confused. Is the Calista perfecter the same as the item found on perfecter.com? I read reviews on the perfecter which were not at all positive. It seems the Calista is different.

Thanks

Its going to be a TSV next month for around $72. I saw it in the July insider.

The one on the infomercial and the website is the same as on the Q---it is by Maria Mc Cool, the person who does the hair of many Q hosts. After trying the Instyler (what happened to that?) and the Topstyler (ditto), I am just sticking to my fabulous Jibere rollers from Sally's. $29.00. Love.

I really want to try this. I wll have to work on my easy pay day stuff and pay some of them off before the tsv.

Can someone tell me would this be easier then the instyler for someone who has dexterity problems?

perfecter.com is an invalid website address for this tool. Can you double check that, please?
