Cost of 4% Hydroquinone

I mistakenly had my MD forward a script for 4% Hydroquinone to a local pharmacy without comparing prices at competing stores. My bad!! The price was $70. I suspect that's not a competitive price. Also, is there a difference in price between the gel and the cream? Any recommendations, ladies?
