No matter what I do I can't ever seem to get this brush clean. There is always foundation residue in the bristles that I can never get out. So it never really seems clean. Any tips?

I clean them weekly with Purity (or whatever facial cleanser I'm using at the time). It usually takes me a couple of times to get that particular brush clean. I wet the brush, put some Purity in my palm and swirl the brush around in it. Under running water with the bristles pointing down rinse-squeeze-rinse-squeeze for about a minute. I can see the foundation and lather coming out when I squeeze it and continue until it runs clear. Then I repeat the process. Basically I do this until the brush creates a lot of lather in my palm, then I know it's clean. You know how sometimes you shampoo your hair once and it doesn't create a lot of lather, but you wash it a second time and there is TONS of lather? It's kind of like that. I soap it up, add water and press it in the sink bowl and keep doing this until the water is clear. I run water while doing it. I don't have your particular brush but one like it and other brushes. I use foaming hand soap. I get the brush wet, and pump the foamin handsoap into my hand. I scrub the brush into my hand until the makeup starts breaking down. I rinse brush (warm water) and repeat. I let the brush airdry with bristles down. Never any residue on the brush, feels soft and brand new. I use my facial cleanser & makeup remover - Neutrogena facial cleanser - to remove the makeup. I then wash them with WEN - makes the bristles so nice and soft!

I used Pomergranate - initially when I was using it rubbing the WEN through the brush I could smell it. I was concerned because I didn't know about the menthol on my face. However after rinsing them thoroughly, and blotting the brush with my microfiber towel I couldn't smell the Pomergrante - I did smell the menthol a wee bit. After letting it sit for a day or so I used them and I didn't smell the WEN. I can no longer use Purity on my face but it does work great on my makeup brushes (and hair brushes too).
