I have enough argan oil to supply a store!

Yes, I love Josie Maran products. But somewhere along the way, I have picked up a few too many argan oils! A TSV here, a super size there, an auto-delivery, travel sizes.

If I buy the next TSV, I may have to start cooking our meals in argan oil, lol. I may have to take a break from the TSV's for a while. I guess I could always cancel the supersize auto-delivery. Love the stuff, but I find the longer I use it, the less I need.

I've never used the Josie Maran product. But, I've purchased the certified first cold-pressed, organic argon oil. Truthfully, I think it made the skin on my face worse. It got all blotchy. It did, however, work nicely on the dry skin on my hands.

I'm not convinced it really does anything except mask dryness and lines, because it is so oily.

You've fallen prey to the compulsive purchase syndrome. You keep watching seductive sales presentations for products you don't need and then get lured into buying more.....and more.....and more. Of course, the pitch is that it will make you beautiful, make you feel good, make everyboody notice you, change your life. Really? Do you think? I can't speak for or against this particular product, as I haven't purchased any, but whether it's useful or not, it's unlikely to be really world-shaking.......and at any rate you don't need gallons and vats of the stuff, do you? Stop watching. Stop buying. Set yourself free!

I am Free!!!! That's all I use now. Just Argan Oil. Used to buy Perricone and all of the different stuff. But all natural argan oil really works and it is simple. I just didn't realize I had so much! I will be sharing with friends.

But my, my thanks for pretending you know my life. You would be, well, ummmm, WRONG. :) I have money and I can buy whatever I like. I am a girl, love being a girl and celebrate buying girly things!

Merry Christmas to you! I hope you get to buy something nice for yourself. Sounds like you might need it!

Any sisters, mother, cousins, good friends, you would feel comfortable sharing with? Perhaps you could hold the next super size, and/or other A/D items, if it will be hard for you to cancel. Think many of us can relate!!!

Oh yeah, forgot I can try to delay the next supersize, if I don't need it! Yes, I am bundling the little bottles for friends for Christmas. They make such cute little gifts, wrapped in spa things.

Goodness. What a sour response! Defensive much? What you're saying here seems much different from what you posted in your lead, where you talked about having "enough argan oil to stock a store", ordering multiple different sizes and auto-deliveries, needing to give up the TSV, and "needing to start cooking in argan oil". Many, many TV shoppers get into serious trouble with compulsive shopping -- a topic that quite often comes up on these boards. I thought you were one of them, looking for some support. In fact, I still think you're one of them......just maybe not willing to hear it.

Gosh, I only buy the travel size. You don't need much. I use 2 drops for my whole face and they are small drops. Do you really think you need the auto-delivery? Time to go on an argan oil strike until you catch up.

eggzactly! I understand 100% - so do many others. Ignore is all you can do because once those that care to do start with you, it's like a dog with a bone. buy what you like, what works for you. It's your money and heaven knows it's hard enuff to find something that works.

I've never even tried argan oil. I should watch one of the presentations. Instead of using body lotion you use the oil instead? I should check the b&m stores to see if I can pick up a small bottle first to try it out.

Is this shopper anonymous board or a shopping message board?

hi happilymarriedmom--love your nic!!Smile

you know i think i get what the one poster was saying, but i totally didnt think you were saying you needed an intervention.

i think we can be more prone to actually buy sometimes too much of the thing that we actually do like, use and that actually is working for us!!

for me it is wen, and philosophy 3-1's. because i like and use them, i tend to stock up if there is a tsv or something, then i can end up with too much, and have to cut back for a while.

also, i think some people are problem solvers and have an easier time giving advise that listening (sometimes i do that, maybe now, lol) but may not have initially meant to sound so harsh. Wink

buy and use what you love. another thing, perhaps some could go in the fridge. i know many oils keep fresher longer when refridgerated.

take it easy!! enjoy

Personally, there are certain beauty lines that I have on auto-delivery BECAUSE they SAVE me money by purchasing in kits. I also have multiple bottles of Josie's argan oil on my shelves. In fact, I have four shelves in my closet full of makeup, body and hair products. Many purchased on sale with coupons or through TSVs. Personally, I don't need to be set free from anything because I am being frugal and saving A LOT of money. There are some positive aspects to stashing.

I enjoy have a huge stash to share with friends who might not be able to afford beauty products one month or donate them for military wives baskets or to women's shelters.

My ladies know who to call for their beauty emergencies. I'm like a beauty prepper!

I only need to be set free from sin and I trust that Jesus has that covered.

happilymarried, all oils have a shelf life. I think argan is two years. For that reason, I only get the smallest sizes, but then I only use one or two drops at a pop.

I know you can, but I actually wouldn't store in the refrigerator. But a cool, dark place.

Anyway, this is a good excuse to use generously.

Nope...not the only one. I wanted to order the jumbo size and then told myself I didn't need to add it to my stash. I DO use quite a bit of it. I add it to my favorite scented body lotion, and I have one on my desk at work. I usually use retinol from the derm on my skin at night, but on the nights I don't, I use JM argan oil.

I ordered her super size Argan oil a while back....I have seen some of her kits and TSV's that also have her Argan oil included, which is how it should be....that's where it all started. That being said, I don't need anymore Argan oil right now, but would order other kits and such without the argan oil. Happy Saturday!

That happens to me on WEN. I ordered some more and when I got it I realized I already had more than enough and to be honest other shampoos are just as good ( except wen has some fun scents) so i mailed it bac yesterday after looking at the qvc card balance. lol
