Matte eyeshadows, I believe, are made differently and are more highly pigmented than shimmery, sparkley ones. It's possible to make a matte shadow shimmer with the addition of another product over the top, but I don't think you can do it the other way around and remove the shimmer since the sparkley stuff is mixed in throughout from the beginning. twinmama1355477541.6796 PostsRegistered 9/19/2007 I saw a Laura Geller Powder A201285, but have not tried it myself. In post #14, Crisso recommended Urban Decay shadow primer in Eden which is more pigmented and mattifies any e/s. Have not tried this, but will get a sample (if poss) next time in Sephora. Sparkly shadows are made with tiny bits of mica, and like any metal it shines. I read that you can make it more sparkly by brushing over it repeatedly (like shining metal) but that's the opposite of what you are asking! Laura Geller's product worked for me but the eye shadow was not super sparkly like the BE products. I'm on my second compact and I am hooked on this product. It takes the sparkle out of blush as well - even the smallest amounts. I dislike sparkle for day wear and only use it sparingly at night. Oh this is wonderful! Thanks for suggestions, introducing me to the prospect of using "Laura Geller Matte Maker Invisible Oil Blodding Powder" (#A06355) and esp for "Larua Geller Shimmer Down Mattifying Powder (#A201285). I was totally at a loss for suggestions, yet I have so many pretty glimmer eye shadows. I think I'll try the second recommendation first. :-)

I recall Leslie say that she introduced that product as an eyeshadow.
